Expert Forestry Mulching in Rochester, MN

Forestry mulching is one of the most practical ways to clear land in Rochester, MN. Younge Contracting uses a single-pass mulching machine to cut, grind, and spread trees, brush, and undergrowth directly on-site. No hauling. No burning. No separate debris removal. The shredded material stays on the ground as a natural mulch layer that holds topsoil in place and slows erosion. Rochester-area properties often deal with dense mixed-growth vegetation, uneven terrain, and wet spring ground conditions. Our track-mounted equipment handles soft or sloped ground without tearing up the soil the way heavy dozers can. We work on residential lots, rural acreage, fence lines, pond edges, and sites being prepped for construction or landscaping. If your property has overgrown sections you cannot use, forestry mulching restores that space cleanly and efficiently. Contact Younge Contracting to schedule a site visit and get a clear picture of what your Rochester property needs.

My yard went from scary to serene, thank you Younge Contracting. Our project was large in scope, and intimidating. We have a flooding problem, amplified by being a foot lower than both next door neighbors. Aeric skillfully guided us through the goals, thoughts, snd possibilities to mitigate this problem. Most of our project is invisible underground. That’s where the real project is. But who can know that? What the neighbors can see is the prettiest backyard on the block. Previously it was full of chaos, half full of “formerly was pretty” spaces and half full of “never was pretty” spaces. Now it’s all healthy plants and a fresh green slate. But the real issue wasn’t the weeds, it was the flood risk. To accomplish this, we had to go all the way to dirt and below. Everything had to go: plants, clutter, and deck. Aeric pointed out a huge sag to our deck, Something like that was invisible to our eyes We knew we would lose the cramped and aging deck with this project, but we didn’t know it was a danger too. We dug huge trenches and for drain tile. This was much harder than it had to be because the dirt was absolutely filled with rocks. I now know why I couldn’t ever dig a suitable hole of any size without a shovel scraping limestone chunks. But we got them out, made the trenches, covered the drain tile with pretty dirt and beautiful grass. Aeric was good at guiding. I tend to be an odd mix of boring and boisterous, and my style reflects it. He helped me choose a nice concrete patio style that would help protect our property and be pleasing to everyone who sees it. I am very happy because it is both practical and charming. This project was very expensive and psychologically scary to hire. We just didn’t know what we were needing or how to get there, only a vague idea of what we should probably do and that we really needed this to be done right and well. We made a good choice with Younge Contracting.

We have have hired Aeric at Younge Contracting for multiple large projects at our house and the process has always gone smooth, with upfront pricing, and amazing outcomes! He worked with us throughout each project to make sure the final product was exactly what we wanted, and is great with working through changes as things move along. We have hired him for building a foundation/gravel pad for our new garage, re-doing our landscaping around the pool and house, and our current project is digging a large pond and the landscaping around it. Would definitely recommend for any kind outdoor projects you might have planned!
